Caring for your Beeswax Wraps
• Use the heat of your hand to warm the wax it will hold its own shape creating a seal
• After each use wash with natural soap in lukewarm water and hang to dry
• As it gets used the wrap will develop lines and creases; this is a natural part of the charm of the wraps
• Pasteurise every month (depending on the frequency of use) in the oven. Lay on a baking sheet on a tray @ 100c for up to three minutes (no more!) and hang to cool
• Never use the wraps on hot food or with uncooked meat or fish. The wax starts to melt at 62c. Always allow your food to cool before use
• The wraps are not suitable for use in the microwave
• The wraps can be used in the freezer but for no longer than a month
• You can tell the end of your wrap’s life when it no longer seals with the heat of your hand. At this point, you can shred and put into your compost bin
• The pine resin is naturally flammable
• Keep away from open flames
