AB15 Ammonite 'Hoplites dorsetensis' (Spath) Cretaceous Albian Gault, Osmington Mills, Dorset
Ammonite 'Hoplites dorsetensis' (Spath) Cretaceous Albian Gault, Osmington Mills, Dorset.
A nice example, these are harder to come by these days at Osmington as those that have been found are largely the result of a landslip years ago and now the beach isn't replenishing.
With thanks to a collector friend of Steve Etches, this specimen is from his lifetime's collection, donated to The Etches Collection for the benefit of fundraising for the museum.
Measures 9cm x 5.5cm
